Thank you for joining me on this wonderful journey of colourful watercolour Art.
I am passionate about bringing the enchantment of fine art into your home. My collections showcase a diverse range of artistic styles and techniques with Watercolour art, to captivate art enthusiasts and collectors alike. As well as bringing Joy, Love and Kindness to little children through my beautiful children's colourful art and story books.
I am a Mother and Grandmother. A Fine Art Artist, Song Writer, Illustrator and Children's book author
Some of my favourite inspirations and interests are Nature; such as wild flowers that are misunderstood for weeds such as dandelions and daisies. I tend to paint those that are misrepresented like foxes, pheasants and hares. Hoping that though my art I can teach love and kindness. I also enjoy painting Flowers, and Religious Artwork. Within my religious art, I often paint something I've been inspired by, like readings of the saints, such as Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich (Nativity) and St Padre Pio (Guardian Angels), or it maybe a dream, or inspiration through prayer. And Of Course Ophelia who through art teaches children how to mix watercolours to make lots of beautiful colours.
I also find inspiration through my beautiful grandson, who through his love of Stars, STARS was born, a beautifully illustrated story book for under 3yrs old.
In 2019, I lost my home I had worked so hard to achieve. As a mother I did everything I could to support my family and menagerie of animals I had rescued and adopted. But, unfortunately, for many years before 2019 I struggled to find work and thus I lost my home.
Although by this time my daughter had flown the nest, I was left to decide which animals I would keep or rehome, this was the hardest choice to make. Letting go of material goods was relatively easy, but to let go of these poor little creatures that trusted me, I felt I had let them down.
With nowhere to go and with the remaining 4 cats and 1 dog, I turned up to my mothers in Newton Heath, Manchester at 10.30pm, June 2019.
Upon hearing I had given my art materials away, my mother felt compassionate to buy me a new set.
Although I had dabbled in Art over the years but not taking it seriously, just painting the odd painting now and then, I prayed to Jesus and asked, ‘What shall I paint?’ As I had assumed after giving my art materials away, that was that.
Not long after, I began to paint art that resembled love and kindness, be it of Jesus’s love for His Mother Mary in The Garden of Gethsemane, The Nativity inspired by Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich, Guardian Angels inspired by St Padre Pio, Herbs Not Weeds collection to show respect of the earth and so on.
I now live in a one-bedroom bungalow, near Wrexham, North Wales and paint from my table in my small living room. There is so much religious art and other beautiful art I would like to paint in Large Canvas forms, but I don’t have the materials or the space to do so. I pray to be able to have this one day, God willing.
In June 2022 I got my first job in 8yrs, working as a telephony agent for Universal Credit. It was very hard, very emotional and even very stressful, to hear people crying in desperation on the phone, I felt helpless.
In Nov 2023 I set up my website to sell my art, but during this time, I also started on a journey that would prevent me from working. Due to the fast paced typing role of a telephony agent for Universal Credit, I received a very serious finger/hand repetitive strain injury.
In May 2024, I was signed off sick from working with Universal Credit due to the repetitive strain Injury in my fingers/hand. This left me unable to draw or paint for over 6mths. And I was left in excruciating pain from my right fingers/hand, up my arm, to my shoulder, neck and shoulder blades. I was unable to sleep on my side or back and had to put my mattress up so I lay with my back propped up. I was diagnosed with Synovitis, Tendinitis, Secondary Frozen shoulder due to complex regional pain and Synovial Hypertrophy in my fingers to my right hand.
In Jan 2025, I was let go from work as I was unable to type with my right hand, therefore, not able to type fast paced.
Few months down the line, I slowly began to draw and paint again, but I still today suffer from my injury. I have to pace myself and paint in small sections at a time. To add injury to injury, I am now also suffering from a bad back and Sciatica, and I've just been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and I'm told my Complex Regional Pain is long term.
I hope that one day, I will be able to set up a Trust to help those in need. Therefore, I am very grateful for every purchase made so that I will one day be able to fulfil my dreams. Thank you so much.
I am also Eco conscious, so my Art is made from sustainable, environmentally & Vegan friendly products and inks, and my T-shirts are also Organic and Vegan.
