Garden of Gethsemane

Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, by Kristina Maria 2021. 

I wanted to portray Jesus suffering for His mother Mary as He contemplated His own suffering and death. For His dear Mother Mary had always been by His side as a Mother would. Jesus would have mourned the great suffering that Mary His mother was about to endure whilst she watched her dearly Beloved Son Jesus go through His great suffering. Bible Verse Luke 2:34-35 Teaches us that: Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”
